Remember in winter: leather also lives with the atmosphere!
If the leather arrives cold, please wait with the processing as a precaution. It must have accepted not only the temperature, but also the humidity of your well-tempered storage and cutting room through and through.
Otherwise, there is a risk of bursting. You must give the leather time to return to "normal" climate control. Experience has shown that a few hours is not enough for this. It is best not to start working on the leather until the next day.
