Description

Our leather for saxophone pads / music pads is also known as kidskin leather and is commonly used in organ building, among other things, for the manufacture of pulpents and membranes. It is also used to cover high-quality saxophone pads. Particularly fine gloves are made from this leather. The extra-thin variety is made thinner through a very labor-intensive process. The leather is additionally washed in a special machine, folded, milled, and greased. Finally, the individual hides are remeasured; this measurement is necessary because the folding process results in a significant loss of dimensions. Note: Kidskin-like. Our “kidskin” is traditionally referred to as such, but is actually made from lambskin.
