Boxcalf leather is used in every application where cowhide is employed. Calfskin leather fibres are considerably finer than those in cowhide. Its durability is higher as a result, and the velour finish considerably finer. The grain pattern is also considerably finer than that of cowhide. The calfskin is, however, smaller than a cowhide. Calfskin is a higher quality product and, consequently, more expensive than cowhide. It is used for purposes such as bags, clothing, shoes, desk pads, accessories, belts.
